WE GOT HIM!!!A world class addition to the squad!!!Daniel Sturridge joined the team and is ready to kick some serious butt alongside Saivet!The only problem the manager faces is how he can fit all these attacking players...After some games it seems he has ended up using Danny up front , Wellington as AMR , Hleb and Sulejmani as MCs with Polanski completing the trio and Henri Saivet an the AML positions but with specific instructions to go next to Sturridge whenever he pleases.Saivet is in a monstrous form
scoring 137 goals at 197 games (so far) and Sturridge has already 32 goals in 56 apps this season!!!

Season 6 is just around the corner and our team who had a nasty season 5, finishing 11th in the premiership of XEFA , has decided to invest in strengthening our back line.
Nicolas Seube is rumored to be out of the manager's plans for good so
Vasily Berezutskiy is the one to take up his role as a DR instead of DC.



Mehdi Benatia will also be moving positions.He is assigned to the DC
post instead of MC/DM.The youngster is showing great potential in training
playing as DC and is hoping to prove his worth.



So far so good , we already know these guys.But for the remaining 2 positions we have something special.First of all the fact that Rivarola is showing marks that his age is holding the team back led to the signing of JOSE MARIA BASANTA!A great DL with exceptional marking tackling abilities.Realy good pace , accell and of course great jumping and heading on top of being 1.88m.
And last but not least we have the return of the king !!!Our towering scoring DC HUMBERTO MENDOZA who had to leave the team in a time where wage crisis had hit all teams , returns back where he belongs!Back in the Alexander the Great stadium to hear his name once more from our crazy fans!!!

Aliaksandr Hleb is now a Kalamaria resident !!! The 1.300.000 bid was enough for Thessaloniki FC to aqquire his services !He was transfered from brother club Barcalonika FC and made a hell of a start getting great ratings and scoring in his 2nd game.A world class player who completes a deadly attack pattern along with Saivet , Sulejmani and De Smet.Belarus , 12 points.

Thessaloniki FC sign Nestor Ortigoza !!!

Yes its true!!We finally found a good MC after a long search and a lot of denials from other clubs to negotiate.Today Rotterdam United auctioned Nestor and the scouting team noticed it at once!He was in the manager's shortlist for a while now , and he was approached again some time ago.So that was the time , we talked for a while with his former manager and the deal was set!The price to bring him in was 250.000 which was a fair price considering his mv was 170.000 and is currently rising.
He is already labeled as the next Mokhtari due to his similar technical ability.Some say he might even overcome Youseff.All we have to do is wait and see.Welcome on board :)

Henri Saivet is a French footballer who is considered to be a promising talent, drawing comparison to fellow French striker Thierry Henry.

Saivet signed his first professional contract with FC Girondins de Bordeaux in 2007, thus making him the youngest professional player in the history of FC Girondins de Bordeaux.He also made quite an impact at the UEFA Under17 European Championship with his national team.

Henri is the team's basic striker despite his age.He has taken a heavy burden but he is managing to do great so far.An explosive striker who is known for his power , speed and tecnhique.There has been many transfer speculations and he was chased by numerous groups,but Henri is staying focused and of course he is staying put.He is indispensable to the club.The future lies at his feet.

Stijn De Smet (born March 27, 1985 in Bruges) is a Belgian professional football player.Since the 2004-2005 season, De Smet is being selected for the matches of the Belgian national under-21 team. He was also part of the squad that qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.He is a hard worker on the pitch and a mighty threat from the left side if he notices a weak spot in the opposing defence.

Hleb is a world famous player who will shine in every team he ll ever play.He joined us from our brother club Barcalonika fc one of the BEST (if not the best) teams in KEANE.An amazing playmaker who creates killer balls all the time and with great dribling abilities.A total gem of a player.


MIRALEM SULEJMANI

Miralem joined just recently the team for the (ridiculous) ammount of 500.000 pounds after his former club decided to sell him.There are simply no words to describe this gem of a player.Scores , passes , dribbles, hes got the whole package.A top class player who helps the most in every game and a true match winner.

Eugen is a recent part of our team but he is doing great already.He has blended well with the rest of the squad and he will develop in a top class player really soon.His commanding presence on the pitch and his leadership skills , provide us with a solid backbone.Did i mention his great stamina ? :)

Ortigoza came after a long search for a replacement to Mokhtari.A great technician with amazing passing and scoring skills but poor physical ability (currently :P).Rated with 7.01 at his debut , playing 90 minutes unfit , is definetly a sign of this players class and will.

Benatia comes from Thessaloniki FC's recently dismantled youth squad and has earned himself a place in the team since youssef mokhtari retired and miralme sulejmani joined.A natural defender who is used as an MC or DM most of the time due to the teams lack of players however performing as expected.He is also able to score headers from set pieces occasionaly.


RENATINHO

Age : 31 (currently)
Place of birth : Somewhere in brazil ^^
Height : 168cm
Playing position : MR/AM/R/FC

Renatinho came as a bench warmer to the team and that shows in the aqquiring price we got him (1 pound).However he amazed everyone playing awesome football , carrying the ball around like a real pro and making top class defenders look really bad.

Season 5 goals and expectations

So its time for season 5.We come from a succesfull season 4 but things are not looking so good.Even though we have managed to establish ourselves in 80th to 60th position in the gameworld rankings an unexpected injury of Henri Saivet wrecked the team's form for 2 days in the begining of the Division matches.We have started playing against the big teams of our league and are currently counting 2 wins 3 draws and 7 defeats.On top of that we had a major clearout of the team , releasing or selling the youths with not much prospect and the old guys who couldnt contribute any more and of course a trully sad event.The retirement of our legendary playmaker Youssef Mokhtari
A player who took our team by the hand and pulled it to the premiership.His stats speak for themselves.



He was always helping the team either by scoring or giving assists, but also by dictating the midfield.He will be greatly missed.

So the team is now left with 16 players including two GKs.Injuries are our worst fear and finding our form back is our main objective.

Summing up it is going to be a hard season and we our aiming to a respectable position in the mid table.Its still early so we ll be back with more as soon as possible.

Season 4 Round-Up

We 've been away for a long time but the news team has come back with more coverage and a better "marketing" group ;) (thanks G) It's been a stunning 4th season for Thessaloniki FC which started great and we managed to sustain our top form till the end of the season.During that month we recorded great wins against strong players and eventually got on the much anticipated top100 in the gameworlds ranking!!!And of course we couldnt leave out the fact that our club enjoys its first official title!!!That's right, after a tough series of games and a lot of changes in the top positions , we locked our "bad selves" in the closet and gave our all to finish 1st and win the Xtreme Evening Championship!!!(Ishmael Miller in the picture , with the so much anticipated trophy)That gave us the automatick ticket to the Xtreme Evening Premiership to join major clubs such as Vagelis' Byron City , Tasos' Kalithea North End Reds, Grampus 8 my hamster Pipi United and others.It is a big joy to also have Dikefalos FC promoted from championship tou premiership , so now its 4 greek teams in the division!

We also participated in the non-premiership XEFA cup which we failed to win in the final as the match auto resolved and lost to Smuts City.However its been a thrilling ride and we enjoyed every single moment.

Huge signing !!!

We have been away for a while but this time we couldn't help ourselves posting even though we are too busy this time around...The reason is no other than our greatest signing so far!!! We managed to sign powerfull striker ISHMAEL MILLER for 825,000 pounds (MV is 1,300,000) at 10,000 wages

Thessaloniki sign Edu

Moments ago Thessaloniki FC presented their new signing Eduardo Goncalves de Oliveira (He prefers Edu :P) who has arrived at Makedonia Airport of Thessaloniki this afternoon.With the sale of Everton and Berglund the team remained with only two strikers Saivet and De Smet so it was only a matter of time until they signed another forward.With the injury of Saivet adding a lot more pressure , and with other managers overpricing their players , the signing of Edu came as the best solution.The deal price was 500,000 pounds.The player stated he was very happy to join our squad and that he is ready to make an impact in the field.

Thessaloniki F.C. @ English Champions Cup

It's not much but at least it's SOMETHING :D At last our team started showing signs
of progress.Among other competitions we joined the ECC comp where after 4 group games we managed to finish top of the group unbeatable, leaving the oustanding danish team "Aarhus FC" second , beating them with 1-0 (Saivet 5').

Next on the 16stage, we confronted Israeli team Beitar Katamonim in a tough game who ended 2-2 at full time with our team managing to catch up to our rivals twice as Ruslan Kostyshyn turned the game to a personal matter.He took the team on his shoulders and scored two beautiful goals sending the game to the extra time.After a scoreless half hour, we won the penalties with our keeper E.Lobos saving their 6th shot.

Everton and Thessaloniki F.C. part ways

Early this morning Everton met Thessaloniki F.C. board's denial to offer him a contract of 8,000pounds wage.It was decided that he was not performing good enough for that kind of money and was released.However Everton, before leaving, gave a strong response scoring the winning goal at our team's surprise win over tremendous Kalamata F.C. which happened to be his last game.So long hijo.

So the groups are announced and as expected we land on division 1b.Our team took a while to stop losing EVERY game so we ended up here.
